About
My name is Rochelle, I was born in 1993 and grew up in a family of artists and creatives. In my childhood and teenage years I immersed myself in various art forms, and as an adult my preferred mediums (outside tattooing) are oil paints, graphite, and colour pencils. Tattooing captured my interest around 2006, leading me to start my apprenticeship in early 2012. Although I did one or two tattoos at the end of 2012, I consider my tattooing experience to start from 2013, and I became qualified at the end of 2015.
I believe that getting tattooed is a deeply personal experience, requiring trust and comfort between both of us. We need to be in close quarters to each other, I have to touch the area getting tattooed, you need to trust me to make a permanent change to your body, and in the case of large pieces, we end up spending a LOT of time together. While I may not be the most openly expressive person, and it generally takes a few appointments for me to get comfortable with most people, I understand the importance of our relationship and want you to feel at ease throughout our appointments.
I've noticed that people are sometimes surprised when they first meet me because their expectations might not align with my appearance, and personality differences can play a significant role in our interactions. So, here's a snapshot of what you can expect: I'm 5'2, have very few visible tattoos (because I prefer to cover them up), deal with social anxiety, speak softly, can be incredibly blunt, appear serious more often than not, and have an intense concentration face (RBF) - especially when tattooing.
As for my tattoos, although they are generally covered up you should know I have my chest (my first tattoo), sternum, left leg (unfinished), right ankle, right thigh (a tiny piece I did as practice all those years ago), outer upper right arm, and my upper back and neck (unfinished). Do my tattoos mean anything? No. Will I get more? Hopefully.
Outside of tattooing, I try to find balance in life by sharing quality time and adventures with my husband James and our Great Dane Omega. I also try to find time to pursue my personal interests and hobbies. I share these details not only to give you an idea of who I am and what to expect, but also to help you feel more comfortable during our sessions. Tattooing is a collaboration, and at the end of the day I want both of us to have a good experience.
